The London Society are delighted to announce that Cllr Georgia Gould, Chair of London Councils and Leader of Camden Council will be giving the 2023 Banister Fletcher Lecture.

Georgia has earned a formidable reputation as an innovator in local government and an original thinker about the future of the capital. Speaking earlier this year, Georgia called for a new era of “municipal imagination” across the city to transform and humanise the delivery of services amid recurring crises, drawing on lessons learned during the pandemic.

The London Society

About The Society is for all those who love London. It was founded in 1912 by a group of influential Londoners concerned about the lack of planning for the future of the capital. Early members included architects, planners and engineers alongside politicians and artists. They came from a range of backgrounds and many would go on to shape Britain during the century that followed. The Society's motto is - Valuing the past; looking to the future!
