Carla Juaçaba joins us to discuss her practice, with work ranging from Rio de Janeiro to Venice, including unpublished projects.

Since 2000, Carla Juaçaba developed her practice in Rio de Janeiro prior to a recent relocation to London. Her office has been responsible for a series of cultural projects including the ephemeral Pavilion Humanidade 2012 for Rio+20, with the theatre director Bia Lessa, and one of the Vatican Chapels for the Holy See Pavilion at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale. Some of her residential projects include the Atelier House, Rio Bonito House, Varanda House, Santa Teresa House. She has won the first edition of the international prize ArcVision Women and Architecture in 2013 and the first prize of AREA Architectural Review Emerging Architecture Award 2018. She is currently teaching at Mendrisio Accademia in Switzerland.
