The UK is aiming for ‘Net-Zero’ emissions by 2050. Meanwhile, the most recent carbon budget puts into law the target to reduce emissions by 78% by 2035 compared to 1990 levels. To reach these targets, our buildings need to perform better. How can architects, engineers, contractors, building users and clients collaborate to improve the environmental performance of our building stock? What active and passive strategies are being implemented to deliver net-zero performance? And how can we manage buildings and encourage sustainable lifestyles to ensure net-zero operation?

Our panel of expert speakers comprises:

- Clara Bagenal George, chair, UK Net-Zero Carbon Buildings Standard Technical Steering Group
- Areti Makantasi, associate, net-zero design consulting, JLL
- James Pickard, founding director, Cartwright Pickard
- Uthira Balachandar, associate director and sustainability lead, Reds10
