What does home mean to you?

The Museum of the Home (previously the Geffrye Museum) reopened in June 2021 following a major redevelopment by architects Wright & Wright, and an ambition to tell the story of home life in the UK – past, present and future. The new site has nearly doubled public space for dynamic programming and exhibitions - and includes a new collections library, street-facing café and replanted domestic gardens. At the heart of the scheme are the original eighteenth-century almshouse buildings – first converted into a

museum in 1914 and now reimagined for the twenty-first century visitor.

Join Naila Yousef, Partner at Wright & Wright Architects, and Museum Director Sonia Solicari to explore the campus and the new vision - to reveal and rethink the ways we live in order to live better together.
