Compact development around transport nodes is part of our cities' low carbon future, but how can we ensure access to mass transit anchors successful neighbourhoods with diverse communities? How can these sites of interchange become places of permanence, not just sites to pass through? Through a pair of international events - in London and Toronto - this year's Citymakers will explore the role of transport in catalysing sustainable development and creating places where people can settle and thrive.
