Join us for a fact-packed and inspirational talk exploring two of London’s most iconic cultural hubs, South Kensington and the Barbican.
We will first explore the creation and legacy of Prince Albert’s world-renowned ‘Albertopolis’ with Drawings Curator, Susan Pugh before moving on to discover more about the controversial transformation of a former bombsite into the Barbican Arts Centre with Drawings Curator, Fiona Orsini. The last part of the talk will feature specially selected photographs of both these cultural hubs as well as other comparable institutions in Britain and beyond with Photographs Curator, Valeria Carullo.
This hour-long talk will conclude with an opportunity to put your questions to the curators.
This event will take place online via Microsoft Teams. A link will be sent to registered ticket holders in advance of the event.
