NOW Gallery continues its digital talk series exploring colour in contemporary artistic practice through the works of British artist Liz West.
Known for creating immersive environments that mix luminous colour and radiant light, Liz West’s work is an ongoing exploration of human colour perception and light fields, aiming to provoke a heightened sensory awareness in the viewer. West has recently been commissioned by Greenwich Peninsula to create ‘Hundreds and Thousands’, a spatial light work that wraps the glass balustrades of the Tide in a kaleidoscopic ribbon of colour.
During this one hour in conversation curator Kaia Charles will explore West’s sophisticated use of colour and light, childhood memories and the artist’s special collection of extraordinary memorabilia.
