Viewing architecture as a spatial practice within the arts enables us to harness and celebrate its dynamic relationship to culture & society.

This talk introduces a range of cross-disciplinary curatorial projects undertaken in a UK cultural institution that have foregrounded embodied experience to challenge an audience's perceptions and ways of being in the world. It will explore how these have been influenced and enriched by conversations with dance and movement practitioners that traverse body politics, gender, flow and the city. As we look to the future how can different knowledge systems, creativity and an expanded forms of practice help to forge a more positive society post-pandemic?

Kate Goodwin is a curator, architect, cultural leader and educator. She is currently a Professor of Practice, in Architecture at the University of Sydney, integrating curatorial practice with teaching.
