Take a closer look at the textile innovation of Japanese designer Sudō Reiko in a series of guided tours of Japan House London’s new exhibition MAKING NUNO by Japan House Programming Director Simon Wright.

Guests can discover the innovation, techniques, materials and locations in Japan which are vital to the creation of Nuno textiles through a tour which reveals behind-the-scenes insights into the curation of the exhibition and the three key themes of sustainability which characterize Nuno’s works: sustainability of regional manufacturing, sustainability of materials and sustainability of traditions and craftsmanship.

Please note that it is necessary to book to participate in a Gallery Tour and places are limited. Each tour will last 30 minutes and will begin on the Ground Floor of Japan House London promptly at the start of the allotted time.

The exhibition MAKING NUNO Japanese Textile Innovation from Sudō Reiko is on display in the Japan House Gallery from 17 May until 11 July 2021.
