It’s a local collective x Semin Hong are excited to present “YUÁN: How long have we known home?”, an immersive exhibition and community programme, in partnership with the Arts Council England and the Bomb Factory Art Foundation. This riveting experience has set to debut in Marylebone, London.
YUÁN invites you to its calming journey into the heart of what it means to find 'Home'. The exhibition is a unique collaboration between local and immigrant artists, offering a diverse discourse on our origins, our present sense of self, and being.
Drawing inspiration from the serene East Asian gardens, the gallery is reshaped into an all-encompassing landscape. From the grand imperial gardens to the intimate retreats of scholars and poets, these landscapes were historically crafted for both splendour and contemplation, symbolising the harmony between humanity and nature. YUÁN's garden is a diverse tapestry, featuring various forms of art that originate from unique perspectives. Despite their differences, all the works share the common eagerness to explore identity and a sense of belonging. They are carefully arranged to create a path for visitors to discover their own reverie of home.
Join us in this transformative journey as we revisit the concept of 'Home'. Let us reflect, question, and find our place in the world within the reflective sanctuary of YUÁN, the East Asian Garden in the heart of London.
