Talk + networking reception: Monday, 26 September
Victoria Thornton OBE Hon FRIBA, Founder, Thornton Education Trust, will present the different approaches and initiatives the Trust is advancing to stimulate collaboration and knowledge sharing, and encourage youth-led design and community approaches to become central to the DNA of all built environment practices.
The Thornton Education Trust’s five year roadmap focusses on fostering a ‘community of practice’ that encourages youth-led design and community engagement approaches. The goal is to bring together inspiring individuals and organisations already engaged in delivering co-design, mentoring or outreach programmes via its Inspire Future Generation Awards and TET Dialogues. Through these initiatives the Trust helps to nudge future policy in the right direction towards a more inclusive, sustainable and community focussed built environment.
Temple Bar Trust celebrates the architecture in the City of London through talks and walking tours, and supports greater diversity in architecture.
The Trust manages Sir Christopher Wren’s Temple Bar, located on Paternoster Square.
