This symposium features a day of talks and panel discussions exploring the design and cultural history of hospitality spaces including pubs, bars and nightclubs, alongside the perspectives of contemporary designers working with chefs and restaurant owners. It is organised by the Zaha Hadid Foundation with the Modern Interiors Research Centre, Kingston University, to accompany the exhibition 'Zaha’s Moonsoon: An Interior in Japan'.

The day will end with a drinks reception after which participants can enjoy a special evening opening of the exhibition as part of our Studio Late, held in collaboration with the London Festival of Architecture (LFA).

Entry to the building: Access to the site and building is via the black metal gate facing onto the street. If this gate is closed, please press the buzzer to the right of the gate and wait for a reply. The door will then open automatically.

Accessibility: Our building is step free and wheelchair accessible. There is a 7cm step from the street to our main entry gate. Please contact us in advance if you require the use our step-free alternative entry gate. We have accessible and gender-neutral toilets. Assistance dogs welcome.
