What if you could build your own home and community spaces from a kit of parts and a phone app? Why should you want to and how does it matter?

In this online lunch talk Mollie Claypool of Automated Architecture (AUAR) Labs and Nick Newman of Studio Bark bring light to the social and environmental significance of self-build architecture. The event will be chaired by Vanessa Norwood, Creative Director at the Building Centre.

To set the scene, we will feature a short film showing the construction of our takeover of House Block in Clapton, Hackney. The structure will be designed by Nick Newman using the AUAR Lab's design App, and built by the Building Centre team alongside participants in Waltham Forest Council's Future Creative’s Programme.

Please register here to attend. We will send you the event link on the morning of the event.
