Dramatically transformed over a time of great change for East London, the Leaway now provides a sustainable, continuous walking and cycling route connecting the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to the Royal Docks and the River Thames. Join photographer and educator Anthony Palmer to learn about the reimagining and recent architectural interventions transforming the Leaway.

Centuries of industrial invention in the Lower Lea Valley have left stories of perfume, ink production, milling and gin distillation. Pass by Georgian architectural heritage at Three Mills, the ironwork forms of Victorian gasholders at Twelvetrees Crescent and continue on to Cody Dock, a thriving hub exemplifying community-led transformation and innovative design. Whilst many spaces still wait to be reimagined, the Leaway is opening up a once-hidden landscape that can surprise and delight all who discover it.
