Loved by both modernists and the anti-boring brigade, Peter Barber’s carefully crafted housing projects continue to scoop architectural awards for the best in class. Pete will discuss his commitment to social purpose, to place-making, beauty and how he would solve London’s housing crisis.

Peter Barber worked with Richard Rogers, Will Alsop and Jestico+Whiles prior to establishing his own practice in 1989. He is currently a lecturer and reader in architecture at the University of Westminster. He has been invited by the Government to lead a discussion on "Designing for Better Public Spaces" with a team of top built environment professionals. In 2023 he was awarded the annual Soane Medal for Architecture and was made a Royal Academician. He received an OBE for services to architecture in 2021.

The talk is chaired by Peter Murray OBE, Temple Bar Trust, Chair

This event includes a complimentary networking reception with the speaker and audience members following the talk.
