Since landscape architect and environmental activist Roberto Burle Marx (1909-1994) began his work, approaches to landscape architecture have shifted massively. To explore this shift, we have invited historian and head of the Burle Marx Institut, Isabela Ono; Director of the Garden Museum, Christopher Woodward; and landscape architect responsible for the Keeper’s House Garden here at the RA, Tom Stuart-Smith.
