The conservation and development of this Battersea Power Station - an internationally renowned landmark - saw the 42 acre former industrial brownfield site become a community of homes, shops, cafes and over 19 acres of public space.

The walk begins at Nine Elms and takes in Embassy Gardens with its famous sky pool - the world’s first aerial swimming pool – then heads to the US Embassy - a cubed fortress of security and sustainability- and ends at the icoici Grade II* listed power station (WilkinsonEyre) and the surrounding public realm and riverside walks.

Along the journey we explore several mixed use and residential developments, Prospect Place Playground - a unique place of play inspired by the power stations iconic chimneys and brickwork patterns and the connecting linear park by Gort Scott, Allies and Morrison, Morris + Company and Rogers Stick Harbour + Partners).

All our walks are led by experienced Blue Badge Guides
