People’s Pavilion Opening Event

V&A East Museum Collaboration - Exhibition opening. The first feature of the festival to open will be a collaboration between photographer Brendan Barry on behalf of the V&A East Museum and our Young Cultural Producers. This exhibition will be open to the public at the Pavilion throughout the 10-day festival.

Performance by Aretha Ahunanya. A special reading of Aretha’s ‘taking up space’ poem, which won last years Beyond The Box poetry competition.

Performance by Poetic Unity’s poets. Their vision is to give young people a voice and to empower them to reach their highest potential, using poetry as a tool to support young people create positive change in their lives and in society.
