Following NLA’s Knowledge Networks report in 2020, this webinar presents an in-depth look of two key building knowledge hubs completed recently.

'Projects in Practice’ presents leading projects in the knowledge-intensive area known as the ‘Golden Triangle’, between London, Oxford and Cambridge, The series gets under the skin of the best new projects across all sectors in the region, revealing the technical aspects of their design, specification and delivery. Each seminar focuses in on a specific sector, from schools, offices and homes, to tall buildings, linking in with NLA’s existing programme streams, and features projects presented by the architects, engineers and other team members instrumental in making London’s most successful buildings work.

Last year, NLA’s Knowledge Networks report highlighted the growth in demand for life science, laboratory and high-tech office space as the knowledge economy has expanded across London and the ‘golden triangle’. But how are such buildings built? How can they adopt modern methods of construction (MMC) to create flexible and healthy workplaces? How do these buildings embrace low and zero carbon technologies?

This session will present two exemplar projects that show best practice in building knowledge hubs.
