A Public Practice lunchtime event to discuss the role of the public sector in delivering a green recovery.
There is no shortage of rhetoric and ambition around the need for a green recovery from the effects of COVID-19. The government has set out plans to ‘Build Back Better’. Over 200 Council’s have declared a climate emergency. But where does responsibility lie for actually delivering the long term recovery and renewal of local economies?
Public Practice is convening a panel discussion focusing on the role of local authorities to provide stewardship for a fair and sustainable recovery. With contributions from across disciplines and places, panellists will share their thinking about how authorities can develop the capacity to build back better and build back greener.
This event is hosted on Zoom and is free to attend. However, registration is required.
