Head on down to 158 Station Road just outside Edgware Station to experience a new mural by artist, Holly Graham.

This new artwork titled ‘Stop and Smell the Flowers’ takes the form of a collaged image and tackles the climate emergency through the lens of access to clean air and green space – calling for greater awareness and action. The project has been developed through a participatory process that has involved over 100 young people local to Edgware through a series of workshops led by Holly Graham.

The artwork is complemented by a digital campaign developed in collaboration with Clean Air Barnet and Middlesex University that highlights statistics around air quality in this part of London shown on a digital advertising screen run by JC Decaux UK.

The project has been curated by public art organisation, UP Projects, and commissioned by Barnet Council as part of a celebratory programme marking 100 Years of Station Road, designed to explore the role creative practice can play in bringing communities together and activating the High Street.
