Nicholas Boys Smith plays a significant role in Government policies on city making. He chairs the Office for Place in the Department of Levelling up Housing and Communities (DHLUHC) which helps councils create "beautiful, successful and enduring places” through planning reform, design codes and the quest for beauty. He founded and runs Create Streets and is a successful author.
His latest book 'No Free Parking', according to The Times, ‘weaves the wacky, the woeful and the wonderful into an entertaining narrative’.
