One of the 20th century's master architects - a chronology of his London sites, from kiosks and power stations to municipal and residential

Many people have visited the buildings created by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, indeed one of them, Tate Modern at Bankside, is said to me the most visited attraction in the country. However, I wonder how many people actually stop to appreciate the buildings themselves.

You are probably aware of the Tate's huge turbine hall and the four chimneys on Battersea Power Station (here pictured in February 2009), but have you ever looked at the beautiful construction of these buildings?

Giles Gilbert Scott's pared-down, yet imposing, design style, with clever use of repetitive motifs and understated brickwork, is echoed across the metropolis.

On this virtual tour I'll use photos and maps to show you some of his most important work here in London, some of which you walk past every day.

After the tour the meeting room will stay open for questions and discussion.
