The rule of law is crucial for maintaining the City’s global business reputation. It is the foundation of a thriving legal services sector that powers the Square Mile, making London a destination for investment and international talent. The Salisbury Square Development is a new civic quarter, located on Fleet Street within the heart of London’s global legal centre. Commissioned by the City of London Corporation, the development will provide a new 18 court flagship legal facility, a new state-of-the art headquarters for the City of London Police, and a new commercial office building. Together they create a new Justice Quarter for London.
Hosted by Lee Higson, Eric Parry Architects and Tim Cutter, Avison Young, the talk will focus on the architectural challenges of designing 21st century civic institutional buildings within the heart of the City’s historic urban fabric, as well as a client’s perspective on the challenges of commissioning, and procuring public works within a modern commercial environment.
