One of the easiest parts of the Capital Ring, Section 15 is almost completely flat. Apart from a few relatively short stretches it is also on smooth tarmac surfaces and has only a few steps.

The walk starts in Beckton District Park, with the first stop about 250 metres from the start where the path turns right. Capital Ring Section 15 continues alongside New Beckton Park to the University of London Docklands Campus. Here the route tracks the north side of Royal Albert Dock and, via some exciting new residential and commercial development, reaches Galleon's Point for superb views of the River Thames. The path then mostly follows the Thames, crossing the entrances to the Royal Albert and King George V docks on its way upriver to the North Woolwich Foot Tunnel via the small but attractive Royal Victoria riverside gardens.

A fitting finale to London's Capital Ring or a great (if perverse) way to start it!
