Whether you are just graduating or still within the university system UVW-SAW is inviting you to join us at our next open branch meeting on Monday 7th June @ 18:30-20:00

Graduating students represent some of the most exploited workers within our sector. As new entrants to architectural employment graduates are especially vulnerable to toxic workplace cultures such as overwork, underpay, discrimination and precarious freelance contracts while finding your footing in a new workplace.

To combat this, we believe that equipping ourselves with strong knowledge of employment rights and collective learning are invaluable tools. Together we can stall the sector-wide race to the bottom, unlearn cultures of overwork and competition entrenched during study, and provide real strength and benefit to the prospects of individual graduates to collectively improve conditions sector-wide.

This session will include information on:
+ Commonly reported workplace issues
+ Your employments rights
+ Short workshops on collective problem solving

It's never too early or late to enact change! This event is for all those currently, or just about to start working in the architecture sector, and will be a safe space free from bosses. Join us to re-build the profession together!

UVW-SAW is a grassroots trade union for architectural workers in the U.K. Members of UVW-SAW collectively take action to transform architectural work, for workers, communities, and the environment. You can read more about UVW-SAW here: uvwunion.org.uk/saw
